BIG CHANGES!

Big changes are happening! Over the past two years I have been on a quest to become a Park Ranger. As many of you know I love the outdoors and more importantly I’Ive realized the outdoors is good for all of us! My quest in becoming a Park Ranger is to help spread the word on taking care of our natural spaces, coexisting with nature and utilizing it to keep us healthy. I know, back to our health. It all ties together!

So I am now a Park Ranger and I actuallyget to help kids learn about it and am able to influence the next generation. I get to share my passion and instill love for it. In doing this I am very busy managing both the gym and the Jr Ranger program. DOnt get me wrong though, I looooove both!

This brought me to my decision to transition into a smaller space so that I can focus on both the Jr Rangers and my clients more without as much stress. With this being said, I am transitioning back into one room. It doesn’t change much for my clients as we usually only use one room but it does for members and potential members. I will be updating the website over the next couple weeks to reflect this and my new business vision.

Thank you for your patience, support and understanding during this time.

Covid 19 Changes to Get Fit On Adams

Due to the Covid 19 restrictions and for the safety of all of our clients and members we are limiting the number of people in the facility at any one time. There will be cleaning before and after every person working out. Sanitizing of hands will be done before and after the visit. Sorry I will not be touching you or hugging you during the visit till further notice.

Of course, if any symptoms arrive of any kind you will not be allowed in the gym without further investigation and possible testing.

Functional Fitness in Real Life

Yesterday you had a great workout at the gym.  Today, you lift a 50-pound suitcase to carry it downstairs -- and throw your back out.  What happened?

In all likelihood, you're not paying enough attention to your functional fitness. "Conventional weight training isolates muscle groups, but it doesn't teach the muscle groups you're isolating to work with others," says Greg Roskopf, MS, a biomechanics consultant with a company called Muscle Activation Techniques who has worked with athletes from the Denver Broncos, the Denver Nuggets, and the Utah Jazz.

The key to functional exercise is integration. It's about teaching all the muscles to work together rather than isolating them to work independently.  Read More...
